Kendall+Brody | Wedding

Kendall & Brody got married in Ft. Scott, Kansas in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family. We explored the downtown brick streets for portraits of the bridal party and they did not disappoint. Ft. Scott has a very rich history and it’s downtown provides a very unique backdrop for bridal party pictures. Crooner’s was our location for ceremony and reception, and they were absolutely perfect from start to finish. I’ve done almost 500 weddings and tbh, most of the time the food is just kinda ok (don’t kill me in the comments), but the spread that Crooners laid out was immaculate. Definitely a top 3 wedding food all time for me!! I can’t wait to go back there. Kendall and Brody were amazing to work with, but the real star of the show was their girl Swayze. Swayze was absolutely in her element all day long. She danced the night away and we’ve got the pictures to prove it. In the made of honor speech given by the brides sister, we learned that Swayze is going to be a big sister, and we even got a gender reveal when they cut the cake. It’s a girl!! Congratulations Kendall and Brody!!! Here’s a couple hundred of our favorite’s so far from their wedding day!

Hannah+Ryker | Missouri Wedding

Hannah and Ryker got married at the Belvedere in Carthage, Missouri. Actually they surprised all of their guests who arrived for the wedding, that they had already gotten married the night before and it was time to party! Kaiti+Colan | Engagement

Danae+Shawn | Wedding | Photographer

Danae and Shawn got married on March 13th at Christpoint Church in Galena, Kansas. Somehow, six days of straight rain stopped long enough for us to have this wedding and get beautiful outdoor wedding photos before the rain started again the next day! These two love birds got together for our first wedding this spring. They sent each other sweet love letters and read them before the wedding. They laughed and had fun with their closest friends as we took bridal party portraits. They said their vows and sealed it with a kiss! Then they made memories in the photo booth and danced the night away surrounded by their family and all of their friends. It was a pretty perfect day. Here’s a few early favorites from Danae and Shawn’s wedding day!

Ada+Adam • Mulberry Mountain, Arkansas • Wedding Photographer

Ada and Adam got married on Mulberry Mountain in Northwest Arkansas. I can’t think of a more perfect setting than the mountains of Northwest Arkansas for this sweet couple to get married. An intimate ceremony overlooking the valleys below, full of all the fall colors, with one of our very favorite couples just sets our hearts on fire. You can really see the time and effort put into the details of this wedding. Absolutely everything was done with a thoughtful touch from the golden dinosaurs to the bride’s stunning bouquet. Ada’s wedding dress is one of the absolute coolest dresses we have ever seen, with beautiful blues, greens, orange & red flowing up from the bottom, and the look on Adam’s face when he sees her for the first time, coming down the aisle, being led by one of their beloved pups, is absolutely priceless. These two are a perfect fit for each other, and you can see it in the love and emotion they shared on this day. It really comes through in their portraits.

Ashley+Joe • Affinity Riverside Estate • Nixa, Mo • Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Joe got married at the Affinity Riverside Estate in Nixa, Missouri. This wedding was perfect in every way and we have been anxiously awaiting getting to edit and share these pictures for our friends Ashley + Joe.

Let’s start with the venue. We have only had the pleasure of capturing weddings at The Affinity Riverside Estate twice, but we can’t wait for the chance to go back. There is a waterfall running through the middle of the property that leads back to one of the most fabulous outdoor wedding spots we ever laid eyes on. Beautifully constructed wooden benches nestled perfectly in the surrounding forest. Directly behind is 3 stories of decking (including an outdoor dance floor) that overlooks the ceremony area, providing the perfect perch to watch the ceremony, take in the air, or get your dance on! Seriously, this is as good a place as any to say ‘i do’.

Now let’s get to Ashley and Joe. I got to meet these sweethearts when we did their engagement shoot a while back down on commercial street in Springfield. There was coffee, there was beer. Enough said! Within minutes I could tell that this couple was truly in love and couldn’t wait to get married, and I was over the moon that they had chosen me to be the one to capture that love. Getting to watch them get married and join their families together, seeing the love for each other and their sweet kiddos was honestly perfect. And just wait until you hear their vows. Not a dry eye in the house.

Sydney and George got married this June at Downstream Casino. We are so excited to finally blog this wedding. These sweethearts have been waiting patiently as we edit their photos and they are finally done! 

This day started out capturing all the pre wedding details in the bridal/groom suites at Downstream. Sydney & I then headed down to meet George where he was waiting on the lawn under a beautifully overcast sky waiting for his bride. George has an identical twin so we were in for a little scare when Nick (Geroge's twin) met us as we got off the elevator heading for first look! My heart skipped a beat.....200 or so weddings and not one blown first look and I thought that might have been the end of that streak :/ lol. Sydney approached George slowly and finally he got to see his bride for the first time in her dress. George's emotion as he spun and saw Sydney said it all! This man and woman are deeply in love and I am so thankful I was there to capture it all! This day, this couple, this wedding was perfect! Jill and Chase got married last month at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. I can't tell you the amount of joy it brings me to have another photographer ask me to photograph their wedding. What a tremendous honor! This day began with me flying the drone around and location scouting around the venue. The church was surrounded with beautiful green shade trees, and a creek that flowed through the property, making portraits a dream. Jill+Chase were such a great couple to work with. I love the way she looks at him. One look and you know that they are truly deeply connected and in love. His reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time during their first look was just something that I'm so happy we were able to capture the raw emotion of that moment in a way that they can re-live over and over again throughout their lives. Maranda and Brayden got married this April 2018 at The Silver Spoon Barn in Webb City, Missouri. We started out this day checking out this cool barn since we hadn't worked the venue before. As barns go, this one is pretty dang fabulous. Immaculate wood work and construction on the interior made this place a gorgeous setting for a spring wedding. We got to spend a little time hanging out with the bride and groom and their wedding party as they finished up their process of getting ready, and then met for the first look in the aisle that they would soon be walking down as husband and wife. Watching the two of them see each other for the first time was so sweet! The anticipation and emotion of such a huge wedding day moment really comes through in these photos. Though it was a tad on the cold side, we headed outdoors for a quick portrait session. Then it was time for a quick wedding ceremony, and then off to the reception where the newlyweds grabbed a quick bite, fed each other some cake, and danced the night away with their closest friends and family! Stacy+Aaron / / Booth Hotel Wedding / / Independence, Kansas / / Photographer

Stacy and Aaron got married January 2018 at the Booth Hotel in downtown Independence, Kansas. 

We absolutely love this location that they chose for their wedding, so we set out early on this wedding day from Missouri to Kansas, and made sure to capture all the historic details this venue has to offer. After seeing all the fabulous tile work and details that went throughout the first floor of the hotel (that we would later use for portraits), I was feeling pretty great when I met Stacy for some portraits of her finishing up her hair and makeup. 

After a first look with Stacy's Dad and Grandpa, we headed out to explore some of the back alleys and streets around the hotel. We didn't feel too bad for making the bride trek the downtown streets with us, as she skipped the high heels for some sweet teal converse low-tops! So smart! We snapped as many portraits as we could with the bridal party while we still had the light to work with, and then headed inside to start the pre-wedding touch ups. Early sundown times mean we're usually running right up against the end of daylight for portraits but it always ensures we're working with the most flattering light, which we love :) 

The buzz of friends and family arriving meant that it would soon be time for Aaron to see his beautiful bride for the first time! I could tell by the look on Aaron's face and the emotion he displayed that this was most definitely one of the best moments of his life! 

After the vows had been said, we broke out the flashes, and took the bride and groom and wedding party around the first floor of the hotel and down a couple city streets for some portraits. 

Stacy and Aaron, we had such an amazing time getting to spend the day with you and photograph your wedding! We are wishing you and your growing family many years of love and happiness!
